PARTIZAN tried to focus their attacks down the middle. They were singing the praises of B. Sengl 17 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to PARTIZAN. R. Lafleur was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on! J. Falch dispatched a majestic long shot 24 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. Against a lesser team, PARTIZAN could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 28 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. Things were deteriorating for the away team as PARTIZAN scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for C. Fábián after 29 minutes. C. Fábián's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert D. Juka was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for PARTIZAN. 3 - 0. J. Tanasković had a fantastic opportunity to put PARTIZAN up another goal 34 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. 3 - 0 was the score after the first half. PARTIZAN enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

C. Fábián was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. Given a free kick close to the byline, PARTIZAN tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let R. Lafleur slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 4 - 0, 64 minutes into the game. PARTIZAN's D. Juka increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 67 minutes. Confident in their lead, PARTIZAN's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 68 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by C. Walkusz might have resulted in another goal for PARTIZAN. However, L. Rozgonyi made a spectacular save. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, D. Juka got himself booked. The manager of PARTIZAN was not happy. J. Tanasković should probably have put his team up another goal after 70 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by L. Rozgonyi kept the visitors in the game. Cheers filled the stadium as J. Falch broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 0 to PARTIZAN. Skorenovac had to make a substitution after 74 minutes. F. Živadinović limped off the field and was replaced by L. Babić. Possession in this half belonged to PARTIZAN, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.

Most important PARTIZAN player was S. Jarić. D. Juka on the other hand, had a terrible day. Skorenovac's top performer was clearly V. Dragović. However, N. Matičić made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 0.
