Dark skies made the crowd of 48409 at ALMUS BEER a little nervous, but the rain held off. Denis Poma was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Erik Vincent Brands and Pedro Revenga. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of POLOMIE. DEADLY had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 4 minutes in when A. Criscione came up alone against P. Çaba who managed a block. In the 5 minute, POLOMIE were awarded a free kick as their counter attack dried up. The ball was sent in high over the penalty box and, in what looked like a well-rehearsed move, it was headed backwards to reach M. Dohot, who placed it into the net with a single touch. 1 - 0. A. Paleologos made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner. I. Hadzhiev of DEADLY received a yellow card after 15 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. E. Kostadinov squirmed through their central defence after 30 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. Halftime score was 2 - 0. DEADLY had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

DEADLY fought on and, after 55 minutes, B. Armand was able to reduce the deficit to 2 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. After 80 minutes, the defensive line of POLOMIE created a counterattack through the middle that gave Y. Chergov a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. DEADLY enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

POLOMIE's top performer was clearly R. Pieren. S. Primdzhanov on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating DEADLY player was without a doubt J. Tognetti. On the other hand, I. Hadzhiev's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 1.
