Clouds darkened the skies at Allstars AFC Arena as 31888 spectators turned up for the match. Ken Callow was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gonçalo Constante and Pedro Bon. Allstars decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. Lineup: Cogo - Borówa, Rudelić, Haave, Eskić - Marković, Rašević, Umrlić, Langier, Ružić - Cuninghame-Green.

Candromeros started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. Starters: Casabuena - Kuchárka, Jaskuła - Conticello, Patacas, Portier, Caprioli, Barbiaux - Brecska, Weinstock, Hazard.

Allstars immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. Candromeros saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Candromeros's I. Brecska was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 13 minutes. It was obvious that Candromeros had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 14 minutes into the match, and D. Portier wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. The visitors' W. Weinstock took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 18 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Candromeros. After 28 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave R. Hazard a chance to increase the lead for Candromeros, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Candromeros lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave T. Rudelić from Allstars a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 41 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Given a free kick close to the byline, Candromeros tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let R. Hazard slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 4, 43 minutes into the game. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Candromeros, with 76 percent of the ball.

Candromeros were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. M. Barbiaux of Candromeros took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 57 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 5. After 60 minutes, a deliberate handball from Allstars's T. Rudelić was judged to be his second bookable offence, and he was sent off. I. Ružić of Allstars received a yellow card after 66 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 67 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for W. Jaskuła who increased Candromeros's lead to 0 - 6. After 73 minutes, Candromeros's A. Caprioli burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 7. 80 minutes into the game a free kick by A. Caprioli found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making Candromeros's lead 0 - 8. After 86 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed G. Conticello to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 9. Candromeros claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 78 percent.

The most dominating Allstars player was without a doubt H. Cuninghame-Green. M. Haave turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Candromeros player was A. Caprioli. On the other hand, I. Brecska's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 9.
