After 48 minutes, L. Jonsson put Star ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. After 70 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and J. Araguaia gave the Star supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. Jonsson cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Star's L. Jonsson was shown a yellow card after 85 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Possession in this half belonged to Star, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.
