SLOBODA managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when P. Cronkvist cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. G. Cori could have increased the lead after 35 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by SLOBODA, with 58 percent of the ball.

Lovci needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 50 minutes N. Cañas made way for T. dos Santos. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, T. Škontra took over the role of being the Lovci captain. After 55 minutes, Lovci switched M. Garriador with L. Solomun, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 66 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called Lovci's H. Garin to one side and produced a red card for the player. T. Irumberri could've grabbed a goal for Lovci 67 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Lovci's T. Škontra was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes. S. Omanović was given a chance to change things around. S. Omanović was handed the Lovci captain's armband. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave L. Solomun from Lovci a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 71 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! When L. Fredriksson's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert S. Jonsson was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for SLOBODA. 3 - 0. After this, you could see that the players of SLOBODA were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. SLOBODA players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. Cheers filled the stadium as V. Antila broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to SLOBODA.
