(382660099)

11-08-2012 13.25
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 16498 to
ROAD OF RED GLORY.
Diego Gigliotti was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Stanny Legat and
Milan Banđur.
Kill Devil tactics involved an interesting 5-2-3 combination.
Lineup: Bunovski - Totev, Mavrikov, Stamenov, Spasov, Mihaylov - Slavev, Angelov - Goutis, Ignatov, Roshkov.
Bistrec started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
They fielded: Milenov - Zagorov, Salsal, Dimov, Levchev - Terziev, Búrborkov, Kostov, Sokolov - Mitzev, Velkov.
Kill Devil clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
A. Mitzev sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
I. Zagorov after 7 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 1.
Y. Goutis showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 8 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away.
I. Angelov caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 15 minutes. This gave Kill Devil the 2 - 1 lead.
K. Stamenov of Kill Devil was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Kill Devil managed to extend their lead to 3 - 1 when
F. Ignatov cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
N. Totev increased the lead for Kill Devil to 4 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 1.
Kill Devil claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
C. Roshkov squirmed through their central defence after 58 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 1.
By now, the players in Kill Devil felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
A. Terziev got himself booked. The manager of Bistrec was not happy.
Kill Devil's
A. Mihaylov increased the lead to 6 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 72 minutes.
Kill Devil solidified their lead at the 73 minute mark, as
I. Angelov dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 7 - 1.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Kill Devil's
K. Slavev increasing the lead to 8 - 1.
Y. Goutis unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
Kill Devil enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.
Kill Devil's top performer was clearly
K. Stamenov.
D. Bunovski was a disappointment, however.
Bistrec's best player was
A. Mitzev.
On the other hand,
S. Milenov's play was disheartening.
The match ends 8 - 1.
