Luka 1 - 3 Partizan
(382672871)

21-07-2012 13.30
The 12000 fans in attendance at
Fk Luka Arena were roasting in the hot sun.
Joachim Delarue was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Bernie Fontaine and
Michel Romkes.
Luka had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Lineup: Džanić - Zebić, Popović, Mrkaljević, Makić - Jugović, Jazić, Kočić, Idrizović - Drakulić, Galijatović.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Partizan.
The following players took the field: Miranović - Papec, Dobrić, Mustahinić, Čaušević - Grčić, Nikačević, Gačić, Simendić - Lekić, Štaka.
The sun seemed to put
I. Papec in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
With 21 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
S. Nikačević put the ball away for 0 - 1.
E. Lekić received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 36 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Partizan fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
Partizan's
N. Mustahinić left the field after 41 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
L. Muhić.
After 42 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
M. Gačić to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3.
By now, the players in Partizan felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
It was 0 - 3 at the break.
Partizan claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.
Luka supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to
A. Idrizović who reduced the visitors' lead after 73 minutes to 1 - 3.
Z. Čaušević could have put his team up another goal 74 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
E. Lekić wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat.
Luka enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.
P. Kočić performed admirably for Luka.
V. Džanić was a disappointment, however.
Partizan's top performer was clearly
S. Štaka.
On the other hand,
R. Miranović's play was disheartening.
The match ends 1 - 3.
