Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 64075 at Stobski centralni stadion today. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Ljubljana derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. Domžale-Stob tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. S. Janežič of Domžale-Stob seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by F. La Cava. With 18 minutes played, DRAGONSI's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to A. Leta he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 1. A questionable penalty 20 minutes in gave the home side the lead, 2 - 1. The visitors' goalie didn't stand a chance as F. La Cava knocked the ball home. DRAGONSI tied it all up, 33 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by H. Stachl, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 2 - 2. S. Zugfil gave Domžale-Stob the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 3 - 2 3 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Domžale-Stob, with 54 percent of the ball.

With 49 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after S. Brglez came through the middle, but his kick went wide. The referee showed Domžale-Stob's A. Črnčec the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Domžale-Stob increased the lead as A. Črnčec struck to make the score 4 - 2 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. After this, you could see that the players of Domžale-Stob were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Coming in on the left, P.
