(382733329)

14-07-2012 13.20
39331 spectators had come to
AC Bajer Arena this cloudy day.
Sylvain Vigneau was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Juan José Leiva and
Terkel Fogh.
Bajer decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Starters: Jerin - Bauer, Lavezzi, 世颂 (Shisong) - Puc, Sajovic, Bizjak, Fasoulidis, Padrini - Schranz, Geunens.
Sosed had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Kintzelé - Pugelj, Lovka, Šupuk - Wiesinger, Kočevar, van den Bergh, Kozlina, Vrhovski - Sapunarov, Wild.
For their match strategy, Sosed had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
It wasn't a pretty goal, but the free kick by
L. Schranz after 7 minutes somehow found its way past the keeper. Bajer takes the lead, 1 - 0!
L. Geunens should probably have put his team up another goal after 19 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
B. Kintzelé kept the visitors in the game.
With 28 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Sosed resulted in a counterattack that set
J. Wild free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
Bajer's
N. Fasoulidis swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
1 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Bajer, with 59 percent of the ball.
L. Schranz's curling free kick almost found the goal for Bajer, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it.
With 70 minutes played, Bajer's
W. Bauer almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
With 75 minutes played, the Sosed coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
H. Marchèse came on,
M. Lovka had to leave the fray.
With 80 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after
A. Pugelj came through the middle, but his kick went wide.
81 minutes into the game,
N. Sajovic had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
K. Laxdehn.
K. Laxdehn received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 86 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
Sosed were close to putting the equaliser away after 87 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to
L. Vrhovski in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line.
The home side's
公. 世颂 (Shisong) came close to extending the lead 88 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
B. Kintzelé managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
Bajer enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.
Bajer's top performer was clearly
L. Geunens.
On the other hand,
N. Jerin's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Sosed player was without a doubt
J. Wild.
R. Kočevar was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 1 - 0.
