Sosed 2 - 0 bahati
(382733350)

25-08-2012 13.20
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 60568 that came out to
Stadium Concordiae.
Renze Govaert was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Lucius Schonhart and
Lenhard Wittensee.
Sosed decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
They fielded: Kintzelé - Šupuk, Lovka, Pugelj - Wiesinger, Kozlina, Sapunarov, van den Bergh, Vrhovski - Wild, Marchèse.
bahati had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation.
Lineup: Pollak - Murgia, Kallas, Rovini, Stumpen, Lukáts - Bugniette, Folchs, Rossi, Rambold - Kläy.
It was an obvious ambition of Sosed to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for bahati.
bahati's
P. Rossi refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 13 minutes.
Sosed fans held their breath as
H. Marchèse scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0!
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Sosed scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
J. Wild after 23 minutes.
By now, the players in Sosed felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0.
Possession in this half belonged to Sosed, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.
bahati needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes
S. Rovini made way for
J. Hosio.
Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the bahati manager used a brief break in play after 46 minutes to give the players new directives.
The sun seemed to put
V. Sapunarov in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
Sosed were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
A great save by keeper
A. Pollak after 63 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
V. Sapunarov struck from the left with a real cannonball.
With their counter attack move halted 65 minutes into the game, bahati were left with a free kick. The ball is passed straight through to the other end of the penalty area, with hopes for it to reach
M. Kläy. However, he didn't have his wits about him and the ball went out.
As usual,
U. Kallas tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all.
Good work by the bahati defensive line after 80 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found
K. Rambold alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide.
V. Sapunarov should probably have put his team up another goal after 82 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
A. Pollak kept the visitors in the game.
Sosed enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
Most important Sosed player was
H. Marchèse.
S. van den Bergh turned in a dismal performance, however.
bahati's top performer was clearly
G. Folchs.
J. Hosio was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 0.
