A. Sossai really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by V. Begonha after a corner. Man_united's J. Guzmán Derqui had seen it all before, so he waited patiently for the right opportunity. He would get no better chance than the one he took, but his shot was deftly blocked by the keeper. With 27 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Man_united resulted in a counterattack that set M. Zine free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. 31 minutes in, Man_united's O. Inderst received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like V. Hovmand Jensen. Excalibur took the lead 39 minutes in, as F. Jakšič broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. F. Jakšič dispatched a majestic long shot 43 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Excalibur enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

A late sliding challenge from O. Inderst was deemed to be his second yellow card offence by the referee, resulting in him being sent off, and Man_united left a man down. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, M. Zine took over the role of being the Man_united captain. R. Stenvall left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. P. Ruppanner was the replacement. After 84 minutes, Excalibur's R. Janićević fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! An equalising goal seemed certain after 85 minutes when J. Guzmán Derqui attacked down the left wing, but O. Cadeau just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net. After 87 minutes, Excalibur were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. A. Brañas did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. F. Özman squirmed through their central defence after 88 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. The visitors' right side was dangerous today; G. de Gruyter made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 2 - 1 89 minutes into the match. Excalibur had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

The most dominating Excalibur player was without a doubt J. Altmann. F. Özman on the other hand, had a terrible day. Man_united's best player was C. Frison. A. Sossai turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
