A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 42706 to Celtic Arena. Benny Läfvenstål was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vasilios Koutsaftis and Ivo Alma. Gorica's A. Golubović made a successful breakthrough on the left after 64 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 67 minutes into the match, an alert V. Perko bagged the ball for Gorica, levelling the score to 2 - 2. 70 minutes into the game, Pavla wanted to bring some new energy to their game. A. Mondragón gave E. Užuotas a quick hug as he left the field. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Gorica, with 51 percent of the ball.

L. Čaleta performed admirably for Gorica. However, V. Perko made a disastrous appearance. Most important Pavla player was V. Miklavžina. D. Cucija turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
