(382809771)

30-06-2012 13.45
A scorching day at
Žuć Kamen, where 56354 spectators were in place for today's match.
Robert-Jan de Zwart was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Tiemen de Keiser and
Igor Vorkapić.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Cukuni.
The following players took the field: Lovreković - Koniak, Uña, Marcocchi - Banić, Vitaljić, Gali, Amill, Sanelma - Jaziri, Mammana.
Super tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
Starters: Laude - Gullen, Fredslund, Aquino, Marucio - Hacklin, Ewiak, Strand, Cigoj, Lombardo - Pastonchi.
Y. Jaziri gave Cukuni the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
15 minutes in, Super appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
solid.
After 31 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 1 - 1 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by
S. Pastonchi.
M. Uña caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 41 minutes. This gave Cukuni the 2 - 1 lead.
2 - 1 was the halftime score.
Cukuni enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
The Super players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
solid organisation when the game started again.
R. Banić didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play.
54 minutes in, Super's
D. Gullen received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
In a fantastic display of determination, Cukuni's
R. Marcocchi forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down.
Z. Lovreković's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from
J. Hacklin's shot from the left 57 minutes into the match.
The referee showed Super's
D. Ewiak the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Cukuni's
A. Amill went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention.
Always quick and a menace to his opponents,
R. Banić was very close to getting through after 70 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms.
As usual,
R. Marcocchi tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all.
With 74 minutes played, Cukuni put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
Y. Jaziri, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
Possession in this half belonged to Cukuni, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.
Cukuni's top performer was clearly
A. Mammana.
R. Banić on the other hand, had a terrible day.
S. Pastonchi performed admirably for Super.
J. Marucio was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 3 - 1.
