Clear skies welcomed the 31417 spectators who had made their way to
Ma Super Si Arena.
Carlo Temmel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
David C. Larsson and
Paranun Buranasakul.
Super tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
They fielded: Laude - Akçay, Aquino, Fredslund, Gullen - Hacklin, Ewiak, Strand, Cigoj, Lombardo - Pastonchi.
Droljice started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Oonishi - Scippa, Keshet, Ban - Heinikainen, Odriozola, Berg, Obad, Libelle - Gregersen, Rubio Envite.
Droljice took the lead after 11 minutes making the score 0 - 1.
F. Obad placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left.
Droljice's
R. Rubio Envite was shown a yellow card after 14 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
E. Gregersen came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
S. Laude but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
S. Pastonchi charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Super, but the shot went well wide of the goal.
Droljice's
P. Heinikainen showed his experience after 24 minutes, as he expertly set himself up to take advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, but his shot was tipped harmlessly out of the way.
P. Heinikainen's speed was clear to see after 31 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released
R. Rubio Envite who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 0 - 2.
E. Strand tried to get a goal back for Super but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move.
Super's
K. Akçay got himself booked for a foul.
Halftime score was 0 - 2.
Super claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.
Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Super manager used a brief break in play after 47 minutes to give the players new directives.
The bench was restless, and with 47 minutes passed Super's coach gave
J. Lammi the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
D. Gullen reluctantly left the field.
The Super players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team.
78 minutes into the game Super broke through on the left wing and
J. Cigoj managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 2.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Droljice goal after 79 minutes, making it 1 - 3.
E. Gregersen was noted down as the scorer.
E. Gregersen could have put his team up another goal 80 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
The home crowd was not impressed when
R. Rubio Envite came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 81 minutes. Droljice were now up 1 - 4.
Droljice enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.
Most important Super player was
S. Pastonchi.
On the other hand,
S. Laude's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Droljice player was without a doubt
E. Gregersen.
W. Ban on the other hand, had a terrible day.
