previous 3/10 next 5/10  Sinovi 2 - 1 Sise (382810503)

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 51214 at Returns Arena today. Paul Ulrich Nördbögge was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Fabrizio Zannoni and Manlio Schillaci. Sinovi decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. Starters: Bojadžić - Kožulj, Skrzeczyński, Simkó, Bojda - Dias, Otila, Silvero, Tamariz, Forn Pertejo - Sapundzhiev.

Sise started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Faye - Kruijdenberg, Kožiak, van Vuuren - Gelli, Beroun, Giussani, Castelli, Mier - Campos, Biler.

After 21 minutes, N. Sapundzhiev sent the corner kick right to B. Simkó who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 0! It was 1 - 0 at the break. Sinovi enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

S. Otila wanted to play on, but the Sinovi coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 63 minutes into the game by K. Grootjans. After 66 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and K. Grootjans gave the Sinovi supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0. The head of P. Campos connected with a corner kick after 74 minutes, and the ball ended up with J. van Vuuren of Sise who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 2 - 1. R. Forn Pertejo could have put Sinovi up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 79 minutes. After 85 minutes, Sise switched L. Kruijdenberg with L. Radulić, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. N. Sapundzhiev unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Sise's G. Gelli was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 88 minutes. The bench was restless, and with 89 minutes passed Sise's coach gave T. Bonde the opportunity the player had been hoping for. O. Faye reluctantly left the field. Sinovi claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

Most important Sinovi player was V. Bojadžić. However, R. Forn Pertejo made a disastrous appearance. J. Beroun performed admirably for Sise. L. Radulić on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 1.
