previous 8/10 next 10/10  Tratkari 0 - 5 Orange (382828373)

Clouds darkened the skies at Trnovi as 49013 spectators turned up for the match. Lauri Sirola was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Martin Rand and David Bösener. A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Tratkari. They fielded: Betzwieser - Tremblay, Radich, Sebestyén, Ursu - Prskalo, Ostermann, Krøjgaard, Goris, Leca - Traunstein.

Orange started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Deen - Balboni, 如隆 (Rulong), Penny - Scholle, Kushner, Rosenthal, Lauritzen, Strittmatter - Ekkelenkamp, Schmidt.

The wings were the focus of most of Tratkari's attacks today. It was an obvious ambition of Orange to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Orange's A. Kushner gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 21 minutes with a superb strike from the right. After 22 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave L. Schmidt a chance to increase the lead for Orange, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. After 35 minutes, Orange's H. Scholle swiftly ran past V. Ursu and nutmegged the keeper! 0 - 3. By now, the players in Orange felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Halftime score was 0 - 3. Possession in this half belonged to Orange, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

Tratkari's V. Ursu found himself alone on the left side 69 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! Content with how the game was proceeding, the Orange coach let B. Ralević replace G. Lauritzen after 70 minutes. H. Scholle left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. E. Fehr was the replacement. The crowd was amused as K. Rosenthal of Orange used a few interesting tricks and dribbles to get into the penalty box. The finish by G. Ekkelenkamp wasn't very amusing, however, as the ball flew way over the crossbar. An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 76 minutes into the match, putting Orange ahead 0 - 4. A. Kushner was the scorer. The coach of Orange was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 78 minutes, C. Sandholm came on for K. Rosenthal. After 80 minutes, Orange's L. Schmidt burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. 81 minutes in, Orange's W. Strittmatter received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Orange enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Tratkari's top performer was clearly L. Ostermann. H. Traunstein was a disappointment, however. F. Deen performed admirably for Orange. M. Penny on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 5.
