previous 1/10 next 3/10  Mladost 2 - 0 Kanis (382855827)

The 12000 fans in attendance at stadion ludnica were roasting in the hot sun. Gniewosz Koszołko was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alexandre Magno Rodrigues and Özkan Keskin. Mladost had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players took the field: Caleta - Mezić, Šimenc, Rogić, Gruban - Livadić, Ranković, Martinac, Vidačak - Glamuzina, Mijatović.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Kanis. Lineup: Kužet - Bartolović, Veledar, Legati, Bertone - Arlović, Štetić, Uranič, Parenta - Trišić, Legati.

Mladost broke through on the left 8 minutes into the game, with M. Mijatović firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. Mladost's P. Martinac was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 23 minutes. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, E. Rogić got himself booked. The manager of Mladost was not happy. Kanis's L. Bertone left the field after 41 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was A. Kutlagić. T. Trišić was the new captain of Kanis - handed the armband by the departing player. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Mladost enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

Mladost's A. Livadić had an excellent opportunity after 78 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! E. Rogić behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 82 minutes as he gave the ball away to T. Trišić. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Mladost put in a good effort on the right, but A. Ranković saw his volley fly wide of the mark 82 minutes into the game. As usual, D. Uranič tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Mladost scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for M. Mijatović after 85 minutes. The home side's M. Mijatović came close to extending the lead 86 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but B. Kužet managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Mladost claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

Mladost's top performer was clearly J. Glamuzina. However, P. Caleta made a disastrous appearance. L. Arlović performed admirably for Kanis. M. Parenta on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 0.
