A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 13686 to stadion Dobre volje. Patrick Kehrli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Laurens Sondervan and Edgar Dechat. Going for long shots seemed to be the strategy in use by Grove. After 9 minutes Krijesnice's J. Pušelja contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Slack defending gave Krijesnice a chance to take the lead with 11 minutes played, but J. Strihić's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. Krijesnice's J. Strihić was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 14 minutes. Grove took the lead after 19 minutes making the score 0 - 1. A. Pirjak placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. J. Pfeiffer received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 34 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Grove fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Grove had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.

After 53 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave M. Vicencinović a chance to increase the lead for Grove, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. Krijesnice's L. Skoko left the field after 55 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was D. Petković. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Grove's A. Ročak somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for J. Pfeiffer, who struck for 0 - 4. The players of Grove now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 61 minutes into the match, putting Grove ahead 0 - 5. M. Vicencinović was the scorer. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Uran from Grove a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 62 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Due to a severely mistimed tackle, J. Strihić of Krijesnice spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. After 68 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed G. Višković to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 6. Grove's slick passing moves completely confused the defence after 73 minutes, but thanks to D. Petković's miraculous save from L. Budak's long shot the score remained unchanged. The sunny day didn't make things easy for M. Vicencinović who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. Grove increased their lead after 77 minutes when Š. Matelić broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 7, much to the home crowd's dismay. Grove claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 79 percent.

Most important Krijesnice player was J. Strihić. On the other hand, D. Petković's play was disheartening. Grove's top performer was clearly A. Ročak. However, J. Uran made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 7.
