With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 32 minutes gave Atlético a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and B. Corrales stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1 35 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Atlético was H. Cailleaux. After 39 minutes, A. Claudino put Atlético ahead 3 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. 43 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as H. Cailleaux broke through, making the score 4 - 1 for Atlético. 4 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Atlético, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.

Atlético claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 75 percent.

Atlético's best player was J. Saalamo. V. Ševo was a disappointment, however. Most important Junajted player was A. Egič. On the other hand, V. Pestotnik's play was disheartening. The match ends 7 - 1.
