Nicolás was shown a yellow card after 16 minutes for slicing down an opponent. They were singing the praises of F. Pérez Cerro 18 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to U.D.Valientes. santamarteam were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 22 minutes, J. Gavaldà swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 2 - 2. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave F. Pérez Cerro from U.D.Valientes a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 23 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! F. Kaiser received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 24 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. U.D.Valientes had a chance to take the lead after D. Blanco Valdés's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 26 minutes. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, J. Verganzo scored for U.D.Valientes putting them ahead 3 - 2, after 35 minutes. 3 - 2 was the score after the first half. U.D.Valientes had most of the ball, with 78 percent of possession.

A. Moreno Vidal could have put U.D.Valientes up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 48 minutes. The U.D.Valientes coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 50 minutes into the game. 51 minutes into the match santamarteam's J. Rivas viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card. U.D.Valientes's J. Verganzo had an excellent opportunity after 61 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Good work by the santamarteam defensive line after 69 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found J. Gavaldà alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. J. Rico unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. U.D.Valientes's J. Rico swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. U.D.Valientes enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 81 percent of possession.

Most important U.D.Valientes player was F. Domingorena. However, D. Angelov made a disastrous appearance. santamarteam's best player was A. Sulin. J. Ibáñez was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
