Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Reality. lalaki made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left A. Stoddard completely alone with keeper L. Macenlle, who made a spectacular block. Reality had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 8 minutes, but W. Bolczański's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. With 26 minutes played O. Viriato almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. M. Gòdia was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Reality counterattack from the left after 27 minutes. His neat finish made the score 0 - 1. With 38 minutes played, after a good run down the left, M. Alzate went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. lalaki's A. Stoddard put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 40 minutes, but the ball went wide. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to lalaki, who controlled the ball 80 percent of the time.

The lalaki coach was infuriated with the lax attitude of his players during the first half, and rightly so. As the players returned from the dressing room, it was clear that his message had sunk in. Reality's J. Leskinen has the wonderful ability to create chances out of thin air. 63 minutes into the match he bamboozled a couple of opposition defenders before sending the keeper the wrong way and sidefooting the ball home into an empty net. That totally unexpected burst of flair made it 0 - 2. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Reality coach let J. Loinaz replace F. Alventosa after 70 minutes. P. Pederzoli left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. T. Lemmetty was the replacement. lalaki had a brilliant opportunity to reply as A. Stoddard received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only L. Macenlle's reflexes saved him. A. Stoddard of lalaki seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by M. Alzate. The crowd was on its feet 81 minutes into the match, as lalaki's M. Lería found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 2 - 2 equaliser. R. Holman looked great 85 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' J. Leskinen. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by lalaki, with 81 percent of the ball.

lalaki's best player was A. Lepp. R. Holman turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Reality player was without a doubt J. Leskinen. J. Loinaz was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
