Heroes 1 - 1 España
(382886822)

25-08-2012 14.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 43819 to
Richi de Leyenda.
Juan Santiago Pérez was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ninos Gkekas and
Anders Jakobsen.
Heroes had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Espina - Alpont, Larrea, Kolka, Sevilla - Romagosa, Caldas, Cortada, Ohlmo - Puerto, Balsera.
España decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Starters: Gaztañaga - Salaberri, Sille, Davi - Sahún, Miarons, Español, Torrabadella, Granados - Claverol, Antolín.
Heroes were very close to putting themselves one up after 13 minutes as
M. Romagosa got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
The corner kick from
J. Sevilla was powerfully met by the head of
J. Alpont to make the score 1 - 0.
The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 27 minutes,
X. Torrabadella broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper.
M. Espina made a great block, though.
M. Romagosa of Heroes was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0.
Heroes had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.
Still trailing on the score board, España adjusted their tactics after 60 minutes.
L. Español had a quick chat at the side line, then switched positions with
J. Sahún.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, España's
J. Sahún was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 61 minutes.
D. Agramunt was given a chance to change things around.
Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the España manager used a brief break in play after 61 minutes to give the players new directives.
61 minutes in, Heroes's
J. Sevilla received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
L. Español's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 71 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to
S. Claverol who knocked it in for España. 1 - 1!
España's
S. Claverol could have put the guests one up after 75 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but
M. Espina was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose.
The referee showed España's
G. Miarons the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when
L. Antolín slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against
M. Espina, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Heroes, with 52 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Heroes player was without a doubt
J. Puerto.
R. Caldas on the other hand, had a terrible day.
L. Antolín performed admirably for España.
However,
D. Agramunt made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 1.
