Dark skies made the crowd of 37348 at Al final de la Carretera a little nervous, but the rain held off. Carretera seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. 32 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Carretera was P. Álvarez. Cheers filled the stadium as O. Martí broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Carretera. The visitors got one back when F. Becattini finished off a pass from the left and scored after 41 minutes. 2 - 1 was the score. Carretera had to make a substitution after 42 minutes. T. Marinescu limped off the field and was replaced by A. Carvão. O. Martí of Carretera seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 3 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by C. Majer. The players of Carretera now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The home crowd was silenced as B. David took a successful penalty shot 44 minutes into the game, reducing the home lead to 3 - 2. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Carretera's P. Álvarez increasing the lead to 4 - 2. Carretera's T. Montrimavičius was shown a yellow card after 44 minutes for slicing down an opponent. boquerons managed to reduce the score to 4 - 3 as F. Fernández Linares finished off a well-played combination from the left, easily carving through the defence. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 3. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

Carretera solidified their lead at the 50 minute mark, as C. Majer dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 3. 56 minutes into the match, boquerons replied and reduced the lead to 5 - 4. S. Canencia scored on a marvellous cross pass coming in from the left. The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 62 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when F. Ulfsson tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. With 67 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after F. Navia came through the middle, but his kick went wide. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 81 minutes, S. Canencia broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. T. Ryan made a great block, though. 83 minutes in, boquerons's A. Estebanell received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. boquerons claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

The most dominating Carretera player was without a doubt C. Majer. E. Veraguth turned in a dismal performance, however. boquerons's best player was S. Canencia. However, P. Josefsson made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 4.
