Clear skies welcomed the 54710 spectators who had made their way to Municipal d'Amposta. Adam Robu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Daniel Dénervaud and Henry Selbratt. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for AmpostaFC. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Aljarafe. After a fine move down the middle L. Iturbide nearly gave the home side a goal after 2 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. AmpostaFC's M. Cuccureddu was shown a yellow card after 15 minutes for slicing down an opponent. AmpostaFC had to make a substitution after 17 minutes. F. Galve limped off the field and was replaced by G. Concaro. F. Monzón Mazo neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to E. Laguyas who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. 34 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for AmpostaFC to take the lead after a good cross from the right found F. González-Llano alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. Making his way up the middle 36 minutes into the match, J. Franch almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert P. Cabale blocked it to keep the score level. 37 minutes into the game Aljarafe managed a counterattack, but F. Monzón Mazo took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. Aljarafe's F. Monzón Mazo managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 38 minutes. 0 - 1. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. AmpostaFC claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

67 minutes in, Aljarafe's R. Eleizamendi received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. AmpostaFC's M. Abarca went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. Aljarafe almost scored after a counterattack 69 minutes into the match, but A. Manić took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, AmpostaFC's B. Hedelund was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes. A. Rivas was given a chance to change things around. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave L. Iturbide from AmpostaFC a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 70 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The bench was restless, and with 75 minutes passed AmpostaFC's coach gave J. Davidsson the opportunity the player had been hoping for. P. Caubet reluctantly left the field. After 76 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as AmpostaFC found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. 78 minutes into the game, Aljarafe worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. No matter how hard he tried, G. Concaro just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 79 minutes. A counterattack by Aljarafe after 80 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but A. Musoni, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. AmpostaFC had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

The most dominating AmpostaFC player was without a doubt S. Yücepur. G. Concaro on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Aljarafe player was E. Laguyas. R. Eleizamendi turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 1.
