The wings were the focus of most of Juventud's attacks today. Juventud's G. Buquet managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 28 minutes. 0 - 1. The corner kick from B. Folguera was powerfully met by the head of V. Kunt to make the score 0 - 2. 38 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 3 as A. Fundain finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Juventud lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Juventud claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

Players in Juventud heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. Juventud's M. Schnürer made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 51 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Iksakuety reduced the lead to 1 - 3 with 53 minutes on the clock when S. Miñano got the best of a ball floated in from the left. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Juventud coach let R. Ritter Hänel von Cronenthall replace B. Folguera after 59 minutes. O. Syvertsen became the new Juventud captain. J. García Carrasco wanted to play on, but the Juventud coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 63 minutes into the game by D. Martínez Sanz. An indecisive keeper looked on as a free kick by Juventud's N. van Egeraat put the visitors up 1 - 4 after 63 minutes. The visiting supporters hurled a torrent of abuse at the referee when a questionable free kick after 70 minutes led to a goal for S. Miñano, who scored to make it 2 - 4. Iksakuety's C. Martínez cut towards the middle after 76 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 3 - 4. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Juventud's G. Buquet somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for M. Schnürer, who struck for 3 - 5. After 85 minutes K. Broe could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors' keeper. Possession in this half belonged to Juventud, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

Iksakuety's best player was J. Salvó. T. Artymiuk was a disappointment, however. Juventud's top performer was clearly R. Petruška. W. Ybarra Careaga on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 5.
