Clear skies welcomed the 56139 spectators who had made their way to El Nou Algirós. Jonas Buikstra was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ulli Karanitsch and Eero Wikström. L´obriLull had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Señora - Ciurana, Carnicero, Rivas Pinedo - López-Mingo, Vall-llosera, Bermes, Cervela, Ganer - Terenzano, Novás.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for HOLLAND. They fielded: Cocito - Larsson, Wimber, Salvadores - Augustin, Bernitt, Riccio, Hardgrave, Kyros - Marcos, Villafañe.

F. Ganer caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 3 minutes. This gave L´obriLull the 1 - 0 lead. A lot of people in the terraces claimed the penalty resulting in HOLLAND's R. Marcos equaliser for 1 - 1 was a mistake by the referee. He did, however, have a very good view of the situation from his position. After 8 minutes, B. Terenzano came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving L´obriLull the lead. B. Terenzano acted with superior experience when, 18 minutes into the match, he predicted a pass, intercepted it and then finished off with a goal. 3 - 1 for L´obriLull! L´obriLull's S. Novás was shown a yellow card after 22 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 3 - 1 was the score after the first half. L´obriLull had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

F. Ganer left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. J. Tobarra was the replacement. J. Carnicero got left behind when HOLLAND's R. Marcos made a sudden run forward after 50 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 3 - 2! With 65 minutes played, the HOLLAND coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. P. Gautier came on, S. Larsson had to leave the fray. R. Marcos levelled the score for HOLLAND, making it 3 - 3 on a free kick that went in by way of the right post. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for R. Marcos. As the 75 minute mark approached, the L´obriLull coach decided it was time for a substitution. B. Terenzano reluctantly made way for A. Soler on the pitch. A lovely run by HOLLAND's B. Augustin left his markers for dead and should have resulted in a goal, but the finish went just wide. With 79 minutes showing on the scoreboard, L´obriLull had a chance to take the lead after being awarded a penalty, but J. Cervela's shot was blocked by S. Cocito. 81 minutes in, HOLLAND's P. Gautier received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. HOLLAND's B. Augustin refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 83 minutes. The crowd groaned its disapproval when J. Cervela missed a free kick that would have given L´obriLull the lead after 84 minutes. After 85 minutes of play, the free-spirited G. Villafañe decided to go for goal as he struck the ball from the corner of the pitch. The ball hit a defender in the face and bounced out of play. After 87 minutes, HOLLAND's P. Gautier made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 3 - 4. L´obriLull claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

L´obriLull's best player was S. Novás. J. Tobarra turned in a dismal performance, however. G. Villafañe performed admirably for HOLLAND. D. Salvadores was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 4.
