Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Massoteres f.c. Arena saw a crowd turnout of 50400. Fábio Coronel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jarosław Wolak and Claudio Piazza. Massoteres started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for L´obriLull. They fielded: Señora - Ciurana, Vivo, Carnicero, Rivas Pinedo - López-Mingo, Bermes, Tobarra, Vall-llosera, Ganer - Novás.

For their match strategy, L´obriLull had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave D. Bermes from L´obriLull a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 11 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A well placed corner kick from J. Carnicero was followed by S. Novás's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for L´obriLull, the score now 0 - 1. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Massoteres, but J. Ponchon's shot went over the bar. The referee showed Massoteres's C. Moya Delgado the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Some fine movement on the left led to a L´obriLull goal after 26 minutes, making it 0 - 2. F. Ganer was noted down as the scorer. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Massoteres claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when J. Lagos Mellado tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. M. Señora was too alert for that! After 48 minutes L´obriLull tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, M. Ciurana's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. After 62 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Massoteres was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. S. Novás left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. B. Terenzano was the replacement. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as J. Lagos Mellado tried lifting the ball over keeper M. Señora. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. J. Llera challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 76 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. With 77 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of L´obriLull resulted in a counterattack that set F. Ganer free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. Possession in this half belonged to Massoteres, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

Massoteres's top performer was clearly D. Ravés. M. González Vado was a disappointment, however. L´obriLull's best player was B. Terenzano. However, M. Ciurana made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 2.
