(382888820)

54942 spectators arrived at
La Bombonera, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Matthias Gullner was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jonas Tegby and
Joshua Kinnell.
Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this
Madrid derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents.
MONESTEAM tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Begué - Acea, Ybarra Moreno, Marsans - Villaret, Verea, Escalona, Pellicer, Soto Medina - del Pinar, Osa.
casa decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Orán - Al-Fajwani, Fagot, Olivares Ponte, Fernández-Espartero - Prado, Sanahuja, Iduarte, Escarramad - Reguero Martín, Mariana.
Some great play up the middle by MONESTEAM led to a chance for
J. Osa to score after 15 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.
A well placed corner kick from
F. Olivares Ponte was followed by
J. Reguero Martín's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for casa, the score now 0 - 1.
19 minutes into the game,
J. Escalona came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar.
The referee showed MONESTEAM's
A. Acea the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Having just succeeded in blocking a dangerous counter attack, the defending team was outwitted by the follow-up casa free kick. The routine was expertly executed as the ball was shifted quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other.
A. Iduarte appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 0 - 2, after 37 minutes.
A. Iduarte was, after 38 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper
D. Begué made the save.
It was 0 - 2 at the break.
Possession was split evenly between the teams.
With 63 minutes played,
N. del Pinar of MONESTEAM fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper
I. Orán and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for MONESTEAM, but
J. Escalona's finish was way too lame.
MONESTEAM's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 81 minutes into the match as
F. Pellicer ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 1 - 2.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
U. Sanahuja from casa a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 82 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by casa, with 51 percent of the ball.
MONESTEAM's top performer was clearly
J. Osa.
C. Marsans turned in a dismal performance, however.
casa's best player was
S. Al-Fajwani.
I. Orán on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 1 - 2.
