The following players took the field: Ezcaray - Barberà, Etura - Ybarra, Berriz, Murillo, Mitjans, Villatoro - Laguna Zabia, Ipenarrieta, Durany.
SGU preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance.
It was obvious that the tactic of the day for SGU was to go for long shots, but in order to score they have to do better than the shooting attempt from
S. Vammen after 5 minutes, which was a total failure.
I. Villatoro spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch.
It was obvious that SGU set up their play to get a shooter in position, and after 34 minutes they succeeded with their tactics when
S. Vammen found a hole in the defence and his long shot left the keeper without a chance. 1 - 0.
I. Villatoro's speed was clear to see after 43 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released
L. Laguna Zabia who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 1 - 1.
The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when
J. Ybarra was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 44 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead!
1 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by SGU, with 56 percent of the ball.
SGU's
K. Tut was shown a yellow card after 62 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
M. Berriz had a good opportunity to give CNAB the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save.
Down the middle came
L. Laguna Zabia, making a fantastic play that nearly had CNAB take the lead after 86 minutes, but
A. Roberto preserved the tie.
With 87 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of SGU resulted in a counterattack that set
A. Sprânceană free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
SGU had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.
S. Vammen performed admirably for SGU.
On the other hand,
A. Tscharf's play was disheartening.
CNAB's best player was
C. Durany.
I. Villatoro on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 1 - 1.
