Dark skies made the crowd of 35910 at Legends Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Viktor Maes was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Matias Knihtilä and Rieme Sikkes. Legends started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Üçek - Seccia, Forsell, Ţăranu - Fröschl, Egartner, Antonarelli, Prazeres, Menke - 安藤 (Ando), Picone.

Herakles had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. They fielded: Narváez - Soroa, Arbona Pastor, Vibero, Wappler, Baulo - Baeckens, Dalmau, Yerro - Matsson, Amatllé.

It was an obvious ambition of Legends to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Herakles clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Legends, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. Legends could have put themselves ahead after 2 minutes but V. Picone missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. With 4 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Herakles resulted in a counterattack that set A. Matsson free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. Slack defending gave Legends a chance to take the lead with 6 minutes played, but P. Menke's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. The guests almost went up by a goal after 21 minutes when F. Vibero came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave È. Amatllé from Herakles a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 22 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! R. Ţăranu was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Legends's A. Aguilà had to come off the bench. It was 0 - 0 at the break. Legends enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 78 percent of possession.

P. Arbona Pastor stunned the crowd with a brilliant counterattack from the left, giving Herakles the goal to make it 0 - 1. Legends's V. Picone almost tied things up with 70 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post. After 71 minutes Herakles tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, P. Arbona Pastor's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. After 75 minutes Legends's C. Egartner limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. No matter how hard he tried, V. Picone just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 78 minutes. È. Amatllé was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Herakles counterattack from the left after 79 minutes. His neat finish made the score 0 - 2. Having turned the direction of play quickly, the Herakles counter attack ended as the ball carrier was brought down violently by a defender after 81 minutes. The resulting free kick was a flat shot into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and did not allow the opponents to reach the ball. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Legends, with 80 percent of the ball.

C. Antonarelli performed admirably for Legends. On the other hand, A. Aguilà's play was disheartening. Herakles's top performer was clearly F. Vibero. M. Dalmau on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.
