Gombau broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Qtn. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Qtn's K. Overdijk increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Confident in their lead, Qtn's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. F. Graziani squirmed through their central defence after 19 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 0. After 22 minutes, J. Marcel put Qtn ahead 5 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. It was 5 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Qtn, who controlled the ball 91 percent of the time.

The home side's F. Graziani curled a free kick home after 68 minutes, putting Qtn ahead 6 - 0. The home side's E. Gelosini came close to extending the lead 73 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but J. Porlier managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Qtn solidified their lead at the 77 minute mark, as F. H. Martínez Rubio received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 85 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. Qtn claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 93 percent.

Most important Qtn player was F. Graziani. However, J. Gombau made a disastrous appearance. Carrocerías's best player was A. Baleta. J. Malpica was a disappointment, however. The match ends 9 - 0.
