Players in Topotes heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. The home crowd was not impressed when H. Swärdling came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 33 minutes. Topotes were now up 0 - 4. Topotes's J. Vandenbulcke made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 35 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Halftime score was 0 - 4. Topotes had most of the ball, with 74 percent of possession.

After 56 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed E. Capussoto to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 5. Confident in their lead, Topotes's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Topotes claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.

Most important MEMBRILLO player was G. Martínez Blas. R. Costeira was a disappointment, however. H. Swärdling performed admirably for Topotes. M. Rubio on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 6.
