Dark skies made the crowd of 44227 at
Sistadi a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Andreas Wennborn was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mihovil Žulj and
Charles-Etienne Landry.
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for X6team.
They fielded: Prenzlauer - Amorese, Miñón, Nin Novoa, Oianburu - Bleser, Pype, Govea, Darder, Garré - Dolz.
Gladiadores started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Lineup: Pollaris - Moreira, Kowalik, Szum - Colomer, Tienza Velasco, Vallejo, Arguello, Matienzo - Montixi, Gracia.
After 7 minutes,
F. Dolz came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving X6team the lead.

With 17 minutes played, X6team put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
F. Dolz, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
S. Arguello nearly reduced the lead 24 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by
K. Prenzlauer prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net.
After 27 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
E. Govea might have resulted in another goal for X6team. However,
P. Pollaris made a spectacular save.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
M. Garré from X6team a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 37 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Gladiadores were forced into a substitution as
R. Kowalik couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
A. Hegedüs to come in off the bench.
It was 3 - 0 at the break.
X6team claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

At this point, it was obvious that the players of X6team lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
The home side's
F. Dolz came close to extending the lead 65 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
P. Pollaris managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
The coach of X6team was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 80 minutes,
R. Bellota came on for
F. Dolz.
T. Pype left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
D. Valenzuela was the replacement.
