Pepino were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 12 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to A. Albalá, who smashed it home to make the score 2 - 1. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Necopen's A. Jiménez Xixona increasing the lead to 3 - 1. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Necopen enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

The referee showed Pepino's A. Villacorta the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. J. Moreno Cervera had a fantastic opportunity to put Necopen up another goal 72 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Necopen scored another to make it 4 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for A. Polo after 76 minutes. The players of Necopen now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Necopen's A. Polo had an excellent opportunity after 80 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! After 82 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and J.
