The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Turrutelo from Brico a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 31 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Brico broke through on the left 37 minutes into the game, with B. Strieš firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. The referee showed Brico's A. Kolarič the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Brico, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

B. Strieš could have increased the lead after 47 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Brico's A. Kolarič increasing the lead to 2 - 0. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. M. Łuciuk squirmed through their central defence after 69 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Brico's C. Cabreta somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for A. Turrutelo, who struck for 4 - 0. Confident in their lead, Brico's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The Oliva players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. Oliva needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes D. Lacaze made way for M. Benhar Noccioli. Brico's A. Kolarič had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 88 minutes having been played. I. Bulatzia was the replacement. T. Bolognini should probably have put his team up another goal after 89 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by G. aan de Wiel kept the visitors in the game. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Brico, with 56 percent of the ball.
