22365 punters turned up at Los Chanes Arena, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Mimbid decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. They fielded: Sumant - Kiszely, Meloch, Baczyński - Hommes, Schopf, José, Verheyden, Krzyczmonik - Kalvāns, Wigger.

It was an obvious ambition of Mimbid to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 17 minutes allowed R. Kalvāns to score for Mimbid. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. 20 minutes in, and Chanes were able to score the equalising goal to make it 1 - 1 when V. Hadlee picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 21 minutes into the match left Mimbid's J. Schopf completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors. After the ball was lifted in from the left, C. Hommes was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 33 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Mimbid, with 51 percent of the ball.

L. Wigger wanted to play on, but the Mimbid coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 63 minutes into the game by F. Manzano. The Mimbid captaincy was handed to G. José. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Mimbid, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. A drive down the left side allowed A. Verheyden to get in close and score another goal for Mimbid after 64 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 3. By now, the players in Mimbid felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. With the scoreboard showing that 66 minutes had been played, Mimbid nearly put themselves up another goal after F. Manzano came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Mimbid coach let O. Ringstad replace P. Krzyczmonik after 72 minutes. The coach of Mimbid was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 79 minutes, E. Haugen came on for C. Hommes. After 87 minutes, Chanes were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. D. Ličman did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Mimbid had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

Most important Chanes player was D. Ličman. However, V. Hadlee made a disastrous appearance. J. Schopf performed admirably for Mimbid. M. Baczyński on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 3.
