(382915766)

11-08-2012 14.00
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 38093 that came out to
El Quinto Pino.
Henrique Mota Pinto was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Igor 'The Machine' Stojković and
Rolf Giaccobo.
Torpedo decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
They fielded: Neubacher - Matache, Andrisano, Irazustabarrena - Bollar, Plyaskin, Anero, Chraścina - Cumperayot, Vender, Cirera.
Cerezal started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Starters: Viñal - Rajkiewicz, Islaba, Fontelas - Vastamäki, Carrés, Polini, Pascali, Witschel - Olguín, Otero.
The sun seemed to put
O. Andrisano in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
M. Neubacher looked great 11 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors'
J. Pascali.
Torpedo took the lead 13 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as
M. Anero elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
X. Otero of Cerezal was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Torpedo scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
L. Bollar after 30 minutes.
Confident in their lead, Torpedo's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
2 - 0 was the halftime score.
Torpedo had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.
With 47 minutes played, Torpedo put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
J. Cumperayot, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
I. Cirera squirmed through their central defence after 63 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
Cerezal's
A. Witschel got himself booked for a foul.
Torpedo's
M. Anero increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 66 minutes.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Torpedo tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
I. Cirera slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 6 - 0, 67 minutes into the game.
I. Cirera wanted to play on, but the Torpedo coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by
M. Velasco Aragón.
Still ahead in the game after 71 minutes, Torpedo made some tactical adjustments.
O. Andrisano and
N. Matache swapped positions.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Torpedo coach let
D. Ursúa replace
N. Matache after 72 minutes.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Torpedo's
J. Cumperayot increasing the lead to 7 - 0.
Torpedo's
L. Chraścina was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 76 minutes.
Possession in this half belonged to Torpedo, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.
Most important Torpedo player was
J. Cumperayot.
L. Chraścina turned in a dismal performance, however.
C. Olguín performed admirably for Cerezal.
S. Vastamäki on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 7 - 0.
