previous 1/10 next 3/10  Osaki 4 - 4 Sunny (382924002)

Dark skies made the crowd of 23161 at Stylos Stadium a little nervous, but the rain held off. Carlos Ascarrunz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mladen Pavelić and Peider Ledermann. Osaki started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. They fielded: Revuelta - Guillem, Campara, Børgh - Martínez, Altefähre, Anguiano, Batet - Hlásznyik, Myrstål, Espinel.

Sunny decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Costan - Orhun, Garret, Shim - Virco, Magrinyà, Solá, Pilshofer, Poje - Vallori, Rodrigo.

Sunny were clearly looking ahead to the next match rather than focusing on the one at hand. Sunny's N. Virco got himself booked for a foul. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to E. Espinel, but the Osaki player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! The visitors' J. Magrinyà was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 24 minutes. Sunny's J. Rodrigo managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 28 minutes. 1 - 2. Osaki's G. Campara was shown a yellow card after 29 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, A. Orhun of Sunny spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. N. Virco increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 3. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 3. Osaki claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Osaki's M. Hlásznyik cut towards the middle after 47 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 2 - 3. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 72 minutes played, G. Anguiano of Osaki made the score 3 - 3. The referee showed Osaki's B. Altefähre the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. J. Solá would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. H. Rajóo entered the game for Sunny as the match clock showed 75 minutes. The guests took the lead 80 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in J. Magrinyà scoring to make it 3 - 4. Osaki's È. Batet put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 4 - 4 with 81 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Osaki, with 54 percent of the ball.

Osaki's top performer was clearly A. Myrstål. J. Guillem turned in a dismal performance, however. Sunny's best player was J. Rodrigo. M. Garret was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 4.
