Ratapinyat 7 - 2 Lasmanchas (382924898)

Clear skies welcomed the 37310 spectators who had made their way to Nou Ratapinyat. Sławomir Grabczyński was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Henrik Hasselbrant and Bryan Rice. Ratapinyat tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Diac - Aslan, Ruiz Correa, Montanaris - Pallua, Domenech, Rzycki, Coque, López de Haro - Kesälä, Mörner.

Lasmanchas started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Aguiar Vale - Bairrada, Eigenmann, Cuadra - Steffelmaier, Cabo, Reyes, Öhrland, Campagne - Stefanelli, Bertelli.

The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 6 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from J. López de Haro, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. The referee showed Lasmanchas's R. Reyes the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. R. Reyes remonstrated furiously with the referee after Lasmanchas had another decision go against them. The referee had no alternative but to show him another yellow card and send him from the pitch. L. Domenech unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Ratapinyat scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for M. Kesälä after 27 minutes. The visitors' right side was dangerous today; G. Bertelli made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 2 - 1 31 minutes into the match. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Ratapinyat to 3 - 1 as M. Kesälä finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. The crowd roared its approval when L. Diac somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Lasmanchas's S. Stefanelli 40 minutes into the game. 3 - 1 was the score after the first half. Ratapinyat had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

After 67 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and M. Kesälä gave the Ratapinyat supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 1. This third goal completed a hattrick for M. Kesälä. The coach of Ratapinyat was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 71 minutes, J. Calvache came on for L. Domenech. Morale on the visitors' bench was greatly improved when their J. Eigenmann reduced the lead to make it 4 - 2 after 71 minutes, following a pass from the right. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. J. López de Haro squirmed through their central defence after 73 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 2. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Ratapinyat coach let B. Magnotta replace M. Kesälä after 75 minutes. J. Pallua had a fantastic opportunity to put Ratapinyat up another goal 77 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. The Ratapinyat players could smell victory in the air. B. Ruiz Correa wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for J. Westerdahl after 78 minutes. Coming from the right, L. Mörner almost managed to score another goal for Ratapinyat, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. J. López de Haro's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 85 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to B. Magnotta who knocked it in for Ratapinyat. 6 - 2! By now, the players in Ratapinyat felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 87 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as A. Rzycki broke through, making the score 7 - 2 for Ratapinyat. Possession in this half belonged to Ratapinyat, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

A. Rzycki performed admirably for Ratapinyat. On the other hand, L. Montanaris's play was disheartening. Lasmanchas's best player was J. Cabo. G. Bertelli was a disappointment, however. The match ends 7 - 2.
