(382927862)

11-08-2012 14.00
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 29224 at
Atletico Txantrea Arena today.
Timmy Rumph was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Barış Karaman and
Tonguç Vasıl.
Atletico decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Lineup: Irabarreta - Mustaniemi, Valdivia, Ollero - Završnik, Mierliţă, Kärrholt, Tijani, Filera - Mellbo, Terol.
Pachangueros started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Tamuz - Bravo, Azarola, York, Vangravs - Zawisza, Muniak, Johansson, Altamirano, Najim - Blažek.
Atletico mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
It was an obvious ambition of Pachangueros to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
M. Najim had a good try after 4 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.
Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 5 minutes into the match left Pachangueros's
N. Altamirano completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
Pachangueros's
I. Vangravs was shown a yellow card after 6 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 13 minutes played,
C. Tijani of Atletico made the score 1 - 1.
The guests almost went up by a goal after 19 minutes when
F. Bravo came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though.
The visitors grabbed the lead after
F. Bravo's free kick succeeded, resulting in a score of 1 - 2.
The home crowd cheered when, after 28 minutes,
F. Muniak's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day.
Halftime score was 1 - 2.
Pachangueros had most of the ball, with 69 percent of possession.
Pachangueros came close to extending their lead as
I. Vangravs delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 68 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Pachangueros goal after 75 minutes, making it 1 - 3.
F. Zawisza was noted down as the scorer.
78 minutes into the game, Pachangueros were awarded a penalty and
F. Bravo was able to increase the visitors' lead to 1 - 4 rolling the ball in by the right post.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Pachangueros lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
The visitors'
B. York took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 83 minutes into the match. 1 - 5 for Pachangueros.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Pachangueros, with 73 percent of the ball.
Atletico's top performer was clearly
S. Mellbo.
However,
C. Tijani made a disastrous appearance.
D. Blažek performed admirably for Pachangueros.
M. Najim turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 5.
