Quevedo could have increased the lead after 25 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Generación, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

With 55 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, I. Herrasti needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. A bit later, Meirás's E. Knutsson easily reduced the lead to 2 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. 78 minutes in, Meirás's M. Pérez received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Undaunted, Meirás managed to tie it all up after 83 minutes, with E. Knutsson's lucky free kick. The score was 2 - 2. Generación's F. Mieres tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. A penalty was given after 86 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 2 - 3. E. Knutsson was the scorer. That made three goals for E. Knutsson and he was marked down for the hat trick. Generación equalised after 87 minutes after a brilliantly placed penalty by M. Wergin. Generación had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

A. Fresneda performed admirably for Generación. However, K. Stoch made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Meirás player was without a doubt P. Kosin. M. Calzón turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 3.
