Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Club Pollolos Mix Arena saw a crowd turnout of 23572. Steinar Dyrøy was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Perry Gansler and Arian Brönneke. Pollolos had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Tudor - Júlio, Bistocchi, Madureira - Spenner, Alfano, Cluny, Campanario, Stanković - Frende, Valdés Saavedra.

Margarito decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Sirvent - Ritzen, Bar-Sheshet, Jourdan - Loewy, Magatti, Eeckhaut, Broussard, Baldini - Nervo, Kutarev.

Pollolos took the lead, 1 - 0, after a penalty 9 minutes into the match. B. Stanković scored from the penalty spot. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave C. Frende from Pollolos a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 10 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 11 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as C. Júlio broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Pollolos. The visitors got one back when S. Bar-Sheshet finished off a pass from the left and scored after 15 minutes. 2 - 1 was the score. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Pollolos claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

Pollolos's J. Campanario saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 47 minutes. Pollolos's A. Cluny got himself booked for a foul. Margarito were forced into a substitution as S. Bar-Sheshet couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing S. Panis to come in off the bench. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. L. Alfano squirmed through their central defence after 68 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1. D. Spenner wanted to play on, but the Pollolos coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 68 minutes into the game by A. Vykopal. With 72 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Margarito showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 3 - 2 when G. Nervo got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. F. Tudor's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from G. Nervo's shot from the left 74 minutes into the match. V. Valdés Saavedra could have increased the lead after 76 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. 77 minutes into the game, H. Loewy finished off a Margarito left wing counterattack, making the score 3 - 3. Pollolos enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

Most important Pollolos player was V. Valdés Saavedra. However, B. Stanković made a disastrous appearance. F. Kutarev performed admirably for Margarito. On the other hand, F. Sirvent's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 3.
