previous 7/10 next 9/10  Trifasico 4 - 0 Estel (382938872)

Due to an all-day shower, 17997 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Trifasico Arena. Nunzius Renfer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Dennie Zwaagstra and Saad Tahiri. Trifasico tactics involved an interesting 5-3-2 combination. The following players took the field: Nava - Rabaneda, Giardulli, García Moreno, Belghith, Estévanez - de la Mata, Verdú, Vidaurreta - del Campo Gortazar, Durasas.

Estel had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. They fielded: Kręciwilk - Puitgmal, Dünyadagülmez - Adalia, Pagnini, Ayzin, Desbanchs, Ramos Linde - Maciuszko, Dorda, Kortaguren.

Trifasico were relying on their ability to counter-attack. With 7 minutes played, G. Pagnini of Estel fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. S. Nava looked great 14 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Á. Dorda. Some great play up the middle by Trifasico led to a chance for R. Giardulli to score after 22 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Trifasico's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing M. Estévanez to score easily from the right flank for 1 - 0. À. Puitgmal, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Estel had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

R. Giardulli didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. After 49 minutes, F. del Campo Gortazar put Trifasico ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. The players of Trifasico now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 51 minutes, the defensive line of Trifasico created a counterattack through the middle that gave T. de la Mata a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Trifasico put themselves up 3 - 0 when F. del Campo Gortazar broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. After 79 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and P. Rabaneda gave the Trifasico supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0. Estel claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

Trifasico's top performer was clearly S. Nava. G. Vidaurreta turned in a dismal performance, however. Á. Dorda performed admirably for Estel. K. Kręciwilk was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
