The 36592 fans in attendance at F.C. BrainWave Arena were roasting in the hot sun. Veeren Shacham was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Evaristo Abal and Cornell Rhoades. VelleS tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Ataide - Maña, Carbó, Colomer - Espinar, Belda, Arnaldo, Rius, Garrido Abiétar - Ramos, Lobo Heras.

BrainWave used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. BrainWave players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. BrainWave's R. Forget had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 33 minutes having been played. B. Bolonha was the replacement. The BrainWave captaincy was handed to B. Bolonha. BrainWave had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. After a fine move down the middle F. Verhage nearly gave the home side a goal after 35 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. M. Ramos came close to putting the visiting team one up 38 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but R. Mila managed to tip the ball to a corner. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.

After 52 minutes BrainWave's R. Mila contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. 75 minutes into the match, VelleS nearly took the lead, as G. Carbó broke through on the right. R. Mila made the save, however. Usually a powerful player on the field, F. Verhage looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. P. Lobo Heras hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving VelleS's M. Ramos an easy chance to knock it in for 0 - 1. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

Most important BrainWave player was A. Culebras. B. Bolonha turned in a dismal performance, however. R. Rius performed admirably for VelleS. On the other hand, J. Espinar's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 1.
