20 minutes into the game, N. Wahabi almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 21 minutes into the match left Xiloca's I. Csobán completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. After 30 minutes, Xiloca's J. Oriol Fabra burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. By now, the players in Xiloca felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Almería reduced the lead to 1 - 2 with 37 minutes on the clock when T. Pizzolato got the best of a ball floated in from the left. The home keeper was stunned 39 minutes into the match when he misjudged the free kick by R. Plaisance and dived in the wrong direction. The visitors increased the lead to 1 - 3. J. Terästö charged down the left and looked sure to score for Almería 40 minutes into the game, but his shot went just wide. It was 1 - 3 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Xiloca, with 67 percent of the ball.

The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but R. van Moorsel showed great heart and had a good game. H. Vélez did everything he could to get one back for his Almería, but keeper R. Roca denied him with a spectacular block. After 67 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave J. Oriol Fabra a chance to increase the lead for Xiloca, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 4. F. Troost of Xiloca took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 74 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 5. After 82 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for F. Olmos La Santa who increased Xiloca's lead to 1 - 6. Almería's D. Lai was shown a yellow card after 84 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Xiloca enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

Almería's top performer was clearly J. Terästö. However, G. Rares made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Xiloca player was without a doubt R. van Moorsel. I. Csobán was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 6.
