The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 23926 had shown up at
Brumel Stadium for the match.
Pascal Butin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Cristian Bruno and
Vincent Jettenbach.
Daders started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Lineup: Gilimón - Wielaard, Nogorta, Hasal - Khorshidvand, Bettge, Egerszegi, van Wijhe, Maharet - Olsson, Gerlo.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Sanvicenteño.
They fielded: Laporte - Luukkanen, Lai Soon, Goździk - Ahmed, Malatesta, Küttner, Cleeren, Marey - Mellado, Griffin.
The wings were the focus of most of Daders's attacks today.
5 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Daders was
A. Gerlo.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 35 minute mark, Sanvicenteño's
P. Mellado hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
The visitors didn't give in and, after 36 minutes,
A. Malatesta got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1.
P. Mellado had a good try after 41 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.
1 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Daders had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
Sanvicenteño's
H. Ahmed managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 49 minutes. 1 - 2.
Daders had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
After 76 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
D. Griffin to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 3.
The Sanvicenteño players could smell victory in the air.
S. Cleeren wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
D. Cabral after 76 minutes.
Confident in their lead, Sanvicenteño's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
J. Luukkanen left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
G. Satrustegi was the replacement.
Possession in this half belonged to Daders, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.
Daders's best player was
G. Bettge.
On the other hand,
E. Maharet's play was disheartening.
Most important Sanvicenteño player was
P. Mellado.
G. Satrustegi turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 3.
