Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Coliseo Cachamuiñas saw a crowd turnout of 30467. Per Svensson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Virgil Istrate and Etienne Marvel. Maravillas tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Maravillas took the lead 17 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as M. Premm elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A lot of people in the terraces claimed the penalty resulting in Pegaso's D. Widenka equaliser for 1 - 1 was a mistake by the referee. He did, however, have a very good view of the situation from his position. The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 27 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. Maravillas fans erupted in celebration as M. Premm rifled the ball into the the top corner. 2 - 1! B. Bakshi behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 32 minutes as he gave the ball away to I. Villasana. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. An equalising goal seemed certain after 34 minutes when D. Widenka attacked down the left wing, but M. Villalba just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Pegaso claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

N. Krinizky was called on to replace Maravillas's M. Premm after 63 minutes following a nasty collision. A great save by keeper N. Vujanović after 76 minutes kept the visitors in the game after N. Krinizky struck from the left with a real cannonball. 77 minutes in, Maravillas's G. Chun Loong received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Unfortunately for Pegaso, M. Irigay was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. M. Álvarez replaced him. The visitors' D. Widenka came close to levelling the score after 79 minutes with a free kick that went just wide of the top left corner. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Pegaso, with 53 percent of the ball.

Most important Maravillas player was O. Guntlin. F. Morínigo turned in a dismal performance, however. Pegaso's best player was U. Eizagirre. M. Lazić on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 1.
