Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 24332 to DaxMa Arena. Mikko Nyyssönen was the appointed referee. DaxMa had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Ferrús - Naydenov, Cortada, Artegi - Gualano, Ferraguti, Ruipérez, Pedo, Winter - Pujó, Biosca.

C.D. decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Wijckaert - Sáenz, Torres Guerra, Maestro - Grønholdt, Çoğan, Schuck, Gamza, Ramundo - Diaz de Andrade, Klijs.

C.D.'s M. Ramundo managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 3 minutes. 0 - 1. 6 minutes into the match C.D.'s C. Grønholdt viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card. An accurate cross from M. Ramundo of C.D. was met with a wonderful glancing header from B. Klijs, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 0 - 2. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as J. Ruipérez tried lifting the ball over keeper S. Wijckaert. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. After 25 minutes, DaxMa's R. Biosca fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! After the ball was lifted in from the left, M. Ramundo was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 26 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. C.D. claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

With 46 minutes played, the DaxMa coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. P. Ferrazzano came on, A. Gualano had to leave the fray. DaxMa almost scored after a swift counterattack 54 minutes into the game, but E. Ferraguti put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. With 67 minutes played, A. Diaz de Andrade of C.D. fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. R. Biosca did everything he could to get one back for his DaxMa, but keeper S. Wijckaert denied him with a spectacular block. After 83 minutes, E. Ferraguti had a good opportunity to reduce the scoreline for DaxMa with a chance created through the middle, but wasn't cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by C.D., with 52 percent of the ball.

Most important DaxMa player was L. Ferrús. P. Ferrazzano was a disappointment, however. The most dominating C.D. player was without a doubt R. Torres Guerra. M. Ramundo turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
