Clear skies welcomed the 23494 spectators who had made their way to Jimix Water Arena. Max Endisch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Aiden MacCanish and Flaviu Bădila. Voerde was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 16 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Horno19, with 60 percent of the ball.

M. Álvarez could have put his team up another goal 56 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. The home crowd cheered when, after 57 minutes, M. Álvarez's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. E. Križko was, after 79 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper L. Ostos Pérez made the save. Steaua's J. Weber put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 81 minutes, but the ball went wide. Horno19's A. Badesteig got himself booked for a foul. After 84 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Steaua found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. 86 minutes into the match, E. Drexel came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Steaua's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 87 minutes gone, but R. Pelegrín's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Weber from Steaua a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 88 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Horno19 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

Steaua's best player was D. Zenginov. L. La Riba Llera was a disappointment, however. Most important Horno19 player was D. Stanev. On the other hand, G. Bergamini's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 1.
