Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 28589 at SUPERGOL STADIUM today. Carmelo Ortiz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jean-Jacques Cloâtre and Zsolt Földes. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for FCMiret. With 32 minutes gone, FCMiret had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, L. Bernardi did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. FCMiret had to make a substitution after 35 minutes. R. Barucha limped off the field and was replaced by V. Pellisé. The FCMiret free kick 38 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of V. Reiten almost gave the home side the lead with an unexpected free kick set up, but the visitors' D. Lankester was onto it, grabbing the would be breakthrough ball. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. FCMiret enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

After 59 minutes, the FCMiret coach had a quick word about the tactical set-up and decided to try another approach. The coach of FCMiret wanted to try to change things around after 60 minutes, and gave new tactical instructions. 61 minutes into the match, the FCMiret manager wanted to try a new tactic, and the players loyally obliged. Varenne's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. FCMiret's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 69 minutes gone, but I. Văleanu's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. Á.
